Taipei's city-wide wVoIP net
This qualifies, we think, as the largest wireless VoIP rollout we've seen. Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, is building a wireless IP FMC network specifically dedicated to telephony. Taipei has a population of 2.6 million, and the city will move all governmental and school telephony to the network. It's apparently the first city-wide wVoIP system and is expected to have 200,000 users by the end of this year. Annual cost savings of $1 million are being estimated.
