Telcentris offers carrier services portfolio with SMS to non-mobile devices

Cloud communications company Telcentris has launched a carrier services portfolio, which includes an array of wholesale voice and SMS solutions with an interesting twist.

The Telcentris SMS solution is a service that enables non-mobile devices to take advantage of SMS communications. The service is accessible through a web-service API and includes inbound SMS delivery to U.S. and Canadian DIDs, and worldwide outbound SMS service to more than 500 mobile operators in more than 160 countries.

"SMS is quickly becoming a primary mode of communication between businesses and their customers, whether it's for sending one-way text notifications--such as the status of a delayed flight--or two-way text communications for purposes like verifying a customer's identity," said Kevin Hertz, CTO of Telcentris in a release. "Telcentris is well-positioned to help address the growing needs in this market due to our unique combination of a fully redundant, carrier-grade network in the cloud, CLEC operations and award-winning service delivery platform- all under one roof."
