Telcordia, XConnect union improves VoIP peering

Forget the toaster ovens on the bridal registries of all those June weddings you're attending: Telcordia Technologies and XConnect are joining together in a union to creates registries that have the potential to speed worldwide adoption of VoIP and IMS-based services. The two companies are combining and independently distributing Telcordia's Service Interconnection Registry and XConnect's ENUM registry services. The integrated registries will enable their mobile and fixed line and VoIP service provider customers to establish peering relationships that will help them reduce the costs and complexity of interconnection and increase QoS for end-to-end multimedia IP communications.
