TelestraClear to deploy GENBAND's VoIP interconnection services

Tools

One of the largest telecoms in New Zealand, TelestraClear, has decided to deploy GENBAND's VoIP interconnection services for its next gen IP fixed voice network.

TelstraClear's new service helps other networks like fixed-line operators, mobile network operators, VoIP providers and cable operators transport its global voice traffic seamlessly using GENBAND's IP infrastructure solutions. The solutions will reduce the Kiwi telecom provider's costs, expand markets and adapt to the growing volume of peering and managed interconnect services such as the GSM Association's IP eXchange.

"After an extensive vendor review, we selected GENBAND's IP infrastructure and services to enable our Interconnect service, which will allow us to expand our offering and provide an end-to-end IP solution for improved quality and reliability of VoIP calls," said Richard Bateman, GM Product Development, TelstraClear in a release.
