The UK's heading VoIP-ward
The U.K. telecom market, like markets in the rest of the world, is experiencing some interesting changes. A new study from the consulting firm IT Europa says 65 percent of the PBXs sold by the 200 biggest telecom companies in the UK last year were IP-based, and only 24 percent were TDM systems. (The balance were hosted or IP Centrex installations.) As you might expect from those figures, broadband and MPLS installations are making major inroads, also.
