Verizon gets props for wholesale VoIP

Verizon business customers ranked it the as the top wholesale VoIP provider, according to research conducted by Atlantic ACM, a telecom "benchmarking" firm in Boston. Verizon came out on top in the ILEC category for Best in Class Wholesale Metro products. The announcement was made Monday at the CompTel PLUS Fall 2007 Convention and EXPO in Grapevine, Texas.

The results were based on feedback from 850 customers regarding performance, quality, price and ease of doing business. Verizon doubled its score from last year, an Atlantic-ACM rep said. Verizon launched carrier-grade IP two years ago, and continues to develop its business line.
