Verizon helps VoIP moves

Tools

Telecom power Verizon has already made news by opening its wireless network. Now, it's introducing a variety of products and services designed to help ease the transition from POTS to VoIP. The new Managed IP PBX, based on a Nortel IP telephony platform, is the highlight of the announced products and services. This PBX will allow customers to move to an IP telecom foundation without scrapping their existing investment in telephone infrastructure.

There are also a variety of IP trunking service offerings that can allow customers to share peak bandwidth among a set of locations and migrate relatively easily from tradition trunks to an IP infrastructure.
