The telepresence solution will be available in July for enterprises currently using VidyoConferencing.

"By enabling devices like smart phones and tablets to participate effectively in video conferences with room systems and desktop users, VidyoMobile is a giant step in making Vidyo's vision of natural communications universally available a reality," said Ofer Shapiro, CEO and co-founder of Vidyo. "VidyoMobile delivers HD multipoint mobile video conferencing to the enterprise, untethering users and turning popular tablets and smart phones into high performance video communication endpoints with quality available only on desktop computers to date."

VidyoMobile features Adaptive Video Layering (AVL) architecture that optimizes video quality and resolution for each participant's environment. VidyoMobile users can participate in low latency, high-definition, conferences with decode up to 720p HD and encode up to VGA resolution. It operates on a 3G/4G or WiFi wireless network.

VidyoMobile was named a "Best of Interop Finalist 2011" and will be available for demonstration in Las Vegas, Booth #1759, on May 8 - 12, 2011. You can get a preview of VidyoMobile operating on an iPad2 here.
