Vodafone to block VoIP services?

Tools

European cellphone giant Vodafone has introduced a new content filter which may block Google. What Vodafone is rolling out theoretically lets it collect the same kind of user fee recently proposed by U.S. wireline broadband network operators from the heavily-used Google. For now, Vodafone says it is using the filters to block kids from seeing illicit material. However, it will be interesting to see if Vodafone follows Canadian Shaw's example and blocks VoIP services as well.
