What does VoIP look like to a hacker?
Speaking of VoIP security, there's what appears to be pretty good new book that looks at VoIP networks from the perspective of a hacker. Mark Collier, CTO for SecureLogix, has written Hacking Exposed VoIP, published by McGraw Hill. It claims to detail all hardware and network-centered threats to a VoIP network and present countermeasures. Like having a gym membership, of course, merely owning the book won't do you any good; you have to use it. And even if it's not as complete as it claims to be, thinking about a network from the perspective of a crook is a useful exercise.
