Why would you buy your own company's product?
Every VoIP carrier in the world is tired of having to compare its service to the legacy TDM world. It's not like VoIP is new, so why aren't people getting it? One commentator suggests that it's because VoIP vendors simply aren't spending enough time or effort on reliability and features. It's a good point: as important as price may be, no IT manager is going to keep his job if the phones go down but he's saving 10 percent on the PBX. VoIP is disruptive: "as good as" won't cut it. It has to be provably "better than" in every metric. It's true in the world of VoIP just like everywhere else: Sell the benefits, not the features.
