XO Communications expands VoIP network nationwide

XO Communications is touting upgrades to its VoIP portfolio it says will benefit its customers with distributed locations by introducing nationwide call routing and boosting the number of IP PBXs it supports. The company said in a release that these enhancements effectively double its VoIP footprint, which now reaches all 50 states and 80 percent of metropolitan areas, according to the company.

"With a growing number of multi-location enterprises deploying XO's converged voice and data solutions, we knew that enhancing our nationwide VoIP services was critical to providing even more capabilities to make our customers' networks simpler and easier to manage," Vince Margiotta, vice president of product marketing, said in a release.
