Zayo's zColo acquires MarquisNet

ZColo, a subsidiary of Zayo Group, has acquired MarquisNet's data-center business in Las Vegas, Nev. It's zColo's 12th collocation facility and the 18th acquisition for Zayo since its inception. The acquisition comes on the heels of a $315 million funding round by Zayo in December, and follows the December close of its deal to purchase 360Networks.

Zayo said the deal for the data-center business fits its long-term strategy to grow its bandwidth Infrastructure business through investments in organic growth as well as acquisitions. With the addition of the Las Vegas facility, zColo now operates data centers across 11 markets, including Los Angeles and three facilities in key Carrier Gateway locations in New York and New Jersey. Zayo said it plans to extend its fiber network into the facility.

zColo reported $38.7M in annualized adjusted revenue and $13.5 in annualized adjusted EBITDA in 3Q11.
