Mobile VoIP News
Mobile VoIP, or mVoIP, describes the transmission of Voice over IP through a mobile device. Typically, in order to access mVoIP services, service providers require their users to download certain software onto their mobile devices. A third party service provider with access to a WiFi or 3G network is necessary for mVoIP to work smoothly.
One of the biggest benefits to mVoIP is the ability to make calls on a mobile device without using minutes or incurring long-distance charges. Using an IP communication channel is generally more cost-effective than a traditional voice network. According to recent industry reports, half of all mobile calls will be made over IP networks within the decade.
